The emotion i feel at this particular moment
not the actual song meaning though :)
After The Storm
And after the storm,
I run and run as the rains come
And I look up, I look up,
on my knees and out of luck,
I look up.
Night has always pushed up day
You must know life to see decay
But I won't rot, I won't rot
Not this mind and not this heart,
I won't rot.
And I took you by the hand
And we stood tall,
And remembered our own land,
What we lived for.
And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
And now I cling to what I knew
I saw exactly what was true
But oh no more.
That's why I hold,
That's why I hold with all I have.
That's why I hold.
And I won't die alone and be left there.
Well I guess I'll just go home,
Oh God knows where.
Because death is just so full and man so small.
Well I'm scared of what's behind and what's before.
And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,

One of those nights... (Jerry the 2nd)
So Hong comes into the house and asks why does it smell bad. First she suggests its the fridge, which is kinda true but it doesnt stink that way... so i thought it was the trash, but i cleared the trash and its not that. As i was clearing the trash i realized there was no smell from the trash.. Oh well whatever right? just ignored it.. turned the vents on and just continued on. Had a shower before bed time, thinking oh i can go to bed before my short road trip tomorrow to NC for Arvic's party (It's been awhile since i saw him and felt guilty LOL). I come down to grab a cup of water after my shower and decide to check the cabinet, a couple of seconds after getting the water and thinking it could be the rat trap.
And yes, i was right... another rat....Danny's rat traps work really well. Had a serious debate internally whether to just leave it there for someone else to deal with it or just bury it tonight. As usual i decided to get it done tonight. So i changed into shorts and some used clothes for this week, and dug a grave in the dark. I did somehow manage to wake the bird that resides in his/her nest in the garage. It was berserk probably confused because there was light, poor thing. As i was trying to get dead rat out i left the door open, for ease of passage, and that is when Mr.Birdy decides to fly in and stay above my work desk.. spent the next 20-30mins making bird noises and turning on and off lights to lure it outside.. Guess what? That worked..
Buried Jerry the 2nd and showered again lol...left the cleaning up for Eric (my roommate). At least it doesnt smell anymore. One of the weirder nights in my life. Oh well..something to remember, best get back to bed. Need to drive at 5 am. Hong wants to visit Duke before the party.

Stray Love
A dying fire,
A wilting flower,
A moon drowning in the presence of dawn
Who will love this strange heart,
Who will bear the mark of a passerby...
A broken record,
A missing chord,
The mind of a wanderer
The allegiance to none
There is no place for this stray love
A stranger in creation
Meaning lost in translation
Honest convictions, bolder action
But a love that does not belong in this world,
A witness of kindness,
Tainted by avaricious judgments
Forgotten in the waves of time
It don't belong here,
It don't belong here,
Pain misunderstood for shame
The stares of my imaginary friends
It don't belong here,
It don't belong here,
Pain misunderstood for shame
The stares of my imaginary friends

A Burial
Today, a rat we named "Jerry" finally got caught in the traps we put for him/her after many weeks of not doing so. I must admit when there was no sign of it a part of me was happy for two reasons. The first is that the possibility he wasn't killed and the second is that we didn't have a rat living in the house. However, tonight wasn't his/her lucky night.
I had to bury Jerry in our backyard. It was not the a very pleasant thing to do. Call me a wuss or whatever, but its so sad to kill anything, even for food if it is not necessary. And still i eat meat. The hypocrite that i am.
I m sorry you had to die Jerry.

Step 1: Play this song
Step 2: Read these sadly frustrating links

Some people have been misusing innocent people's feelings to do their dirty deeds. I hope these people realize soon enough.
Step 3: Back to realizing the bigger picture and etc.

Something Edine sent me on GChat
In The Happiness Advantage, I challenge readers to do one brief positive exercise every day for 21 days. Only through behavioral change can information become transformation.
• Write down three new things you are grateful for each day;
• Write for two minutes a day describing one positive experience you had over the past 24 hours;
• Exercise for 10 minutes a day;
• Meditate for two minutes, focusing on your breath going in and out;
• Write one quick email first thing in the morning thanking or praising someone in your social support network (family member, friend, old teacher).
